FAQs

Is this service only for Australians?

We assist people all over the world, regardless of country. As long as we can find a time to meet via Zoom during normal working hours in Sydney time, we can work together.

What is ICCAs position on chemotherapy, radiation, surgery and immunotherapy?

Conventional treatments, when combined with a comprehensive, holistic support for the individual at all levels, is the most powerful method of treating most cancers today. We fully understand why people have become weary of conventional treatments and their long-term effects on the body, but when you support the body holistically during treatment, it can better tolerate the toxic side effects, allowing you to deal with the emergency of the situation while naturally supporting the body to help heal and prevent reoccurrence.

How does ICCA differ from Dr. Carol Haddad's offering?

ICCA is in fact a creation of Dr. Carol Haddad (Integrative Oncologist). She created ICCA to scale up her private offering and focus more on the education side of how to assist the body to heal itself. Her integrative oncology services are still available through www.drcarolhaddad.com, and in most cases, we recommend that clients utilize a combination of all our offerings (integrative oncology, naturopathy and nutrition therapy) for the optimal approach.

Does ICCA assist in prescribing off-label drugs?

Unfortunately we do not provide this service, but we can help guide you as best as we can in this area.

What diet does ICCA recommend for cancer?

Diet plays a large role in assisting the body to recover from a diseased state and as you know, everyone has a different opinion on what is the right thing to eat. There are numerous anti-cancer diet principles that we recommend to all our clients. However, the specifics of what to eat will vary for each individual depending on their preferences, cancer type and readiness to make changes. Eating right in the presence of cancer is not as simple as eating a ketogenic, Mediterranean, or plant-based diet. There is a lot of nuance to the topic of diet which we help with.

What does mindset and spirituality have to do with cancer and getting well?

Most chronic disease conditions have root causes which need to be addressed simultaneously alongside the symptoms (e.g. the cancer). We believe the root cause of all root causes is in fact our mind and the way in which we relate to the world. Our perceptions, perspectives, judgements, opinions, past-traumas, etc all work together to determine our emotional state in any given moment. This emotional state sets our level of chronic mental and physical stress, which is at the root of most diseases. When we talk about spirituality, we are not talking about ideas of God, but rather seeing reality as it is, not as we perceive it to be. When we are able to achieve this state of mind, we drop into the present moment and experience peace and happiness regardless of any circumstance we face. From there, we have the right energy to make significant changes in our life necessary to heal through our cancer diagnosis.

What can I expect during my sessions?

Each of our sessions is approximately 1 hour long. Medical consults with Dr. Carol utilize your bloodwork and scans from your oncology team to ensure you are tracking well and make appropriate recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of your treatment plan. Medical consults are one-off sessions which you can renew as needed.

Our Diet & Lifestyle program on the other hand is a package of 8 sessions where our Integrative Nutritionist will work with you on a weekly basis to cover all of the day-to-day habit related topics, which include diet, juicing/sprouts, hydration, sleep, gut health, exercise, mindset, healthy products and much more.
